The Mercedes-Benz Greater Richmond Mixed Championship 2024

The Mercedes-Benz Greater Richmond Mixed Championship was more than just a tennis tournament; it was a gathering of community and goodwill. From April 16-19, ACAC Midlothian hosted over 70 players across various divisions, each sporting their Mercedes-Benz gear. Beyond the thrilling matches, the event raised $1,500 for the Richmond Tennis Association’s Rising Stars Academy, providing underprivileged youth in Richmond with summer tennis lessons at Byrd Park.

Players didn’t just compete for prizes; they also had the chance to win tickets to the Mubadala Citi DC Open, adding to the excitement. With perfect weather setting the stage, participants showcased their skills and camaraderie throughout the weekend.

As champions were crowned, the true victory was the collective impact made in supporting youth tennis. And the momentum continues with the upcoming Mercedes-Benz Greater Richmond Junior Championships on May 17-19, 2024, at Byrd Park. It’s another chance for young talent to shine and for the community to come together in the spirit of sport and giving back.
